Drug Dealer Caught In Pune, Mephedrone Worth Rs 8 Lakh Seized
Pune, 4th June 2022: Crime Branch has arrested a man from the Yerawada area of Pune for selling drugs. Mephedrone (MD), electronic weighing scales, mobile sets worth Rs 7.88 lakh were seized from him.
The arrested person has been identified as Sameer alias Aiba Shahjahan Sheikh, a resident of Yerawada.
Police Inspector Vinayak Gaikwad of the Anti-Narcotics Cell of Pune City Police was patrolling the Parnakuti area of Yerwada. At that time, Shaikh was standing at the foot of Parnakuti hill. Police received the information that he had drugs. A trap was laid and he was caught. 52 gm mephedrone worth Rs 7 lakh 81 thousand, electronic weighing scales, plastic bags, mobile sets were seized from him.
Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Srinivas Ghadge, ACP Gajanan Tompe, Inspector Gaikwad and his team members Maruti Pardhi, Manoj Salunke, Pandurang Pawar, Vishal Dalvi carried out this operation.
