Pune: Youth Killed By Friend After Dispute Over Rs 180

Bhor, 4th June 2022: After a dispute over just Rs 180, a youth killed his friend by targeting stones at his chest and genitals. The incident took place in a shed of Bhor cemetery.

The deceased was identified as Akshay Gaikwad. The friend accused, who was preparing to flee, was arrested by the police just three hours after being alerted. The name of the accused is identified as Devram Mane.

According to the information given by the police, both Devram and Akshay were addicted to alcohol. On Friday evening, the two were drinking alcohol in the shed of the cemetery at Bhor. At the time Akshay took Rs 180 out of Devram’s pocket. This led to an argument between the two, later turning into a fight. Devaram then threw stones in anger over Akshay which hit him in the chest and genitals area. Devaram then left the agonized Akshay and ran away from the scene.

Akshay was admitted to Bhor Sub-district Hospital after some time but died soon after. Bhor police have registered a case and arrested the accused.
