Drug Racketeer Lalit Patil’s Brother Arrested From Varanasi By Pune Police, He Was Running Drug Factory In Nashik
Pune 10th Oct 2023: The Pune City Police team has arrested drug racketeer Lalit Patil’s Brother Bhushan Patil from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh in a case related to drugs registered in Pune. Bhushan, who was also involved in drug business was made accused by the police in a case.
Lalit had escaped the Sassoon General Hospital where he was admitted for the treatment during his jail term at the Yerawada Central Jail. He escaped a day after the police arrested a person for drug trafficking outside the Sassoon Hospital and the investigation also found involvement of Lalit Patil who was allegedly running the drug racket from the hospital.
The Mumbai police earlier raided the drug manufacturing factory run by Lalit and Bhushan from Nashik. Drugs worth around Rs 300 crore was seized in the action and the police had launched search for both the accused. The Pune Police have taken Bhushan Patil into custody and he is being brought to the city. However, they are yet to trace his brother.
