Ahmedabad, 13th June 2025: In a major breakthrough, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has recovered the Digital Video Recorder (DVR) from the wreckage of the Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner that crashed shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad. The recovery is expected to play a critical role in uncovering the precise cause behind the tragic incident.

Key Evidence Secured:
A senior official from the Gujarat ATS, present at the crash site, confirmed the critical development, “We have recovered a DVR from the wreckage. A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) will soon begin its analysis. This device may provide vital insights into the events leading up to the crash.”

In addition to the DVR, the black box, comprising the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) and Flight Data Recorder (FDR), has also been located. These are standard aviation tools crucial in reconstructing the final moments of a flight.

The DVR, typically part of the aircraft’s cockpit or cabin surveillance system, can provide visual evidence of the aircraft’s final moments, including crew activity, emergency protocols, and any visible mechanical failures. When paired with the black box data, investigators aim to construct a comprehensive sequence of events to identify the root cause.

A full-scale probe is now in motion involving aviation experts, forensic teams, and security agencies. While the cause of the crash remains officially undetermined, authorities say preliminary findings may emerge once the forensic analysis of the DVR and black box is complete.
