Elderly Farmer Killed in Lightning Strike in Pune District
Pune, 11th April 2023: Unseasonal rains in Khed taluka caused extensive damage to agriculture and resulted in the loss of crops. In Chas area, an elderly farmer, Ram Gangaram Kale, died due to electric shock during heavy rains and lightning on Sunday evening.
According to reports, Kale had gone to cut grass at the back of his farm house when lightning struck him. He was found with a sickle in his hand. The lightning strike burnt his entire body and he died on the spot.
