Elderly Man And His Grandson Killed In Accident On Pune-Ahmednagar Road After Truck Hit Their Car

Pune, 13th June 2022: An elderly man and his one-and-a-half-year-old grandson were killed in an accident after a truck hit their car.

 

The incident took place on 12th June at around 4 pm on the road in front of Om Sai Hotel on Pune-Nagar road. The Lonikand Police station (Pune city police) is searching for the truck driver.

 

The deceased have been identified as Mahesh Shambhus (60) and his grandson Advait Amol Kulkarni, residents of Moshi. The injured during the accident is identified as Nilima Shambhus.

 

Deepa Kulkarni (31) has lodged a complaint at Lonikand Police Station.

 

According to the police, Neelima, her son Advait and their parents were traveling in the car. Neelima was driving the car. The truck jumped the divider in front of Om Sai Hotel and hit the car. Mahesh was seriously injured in the accident. Doctors pronounced him dead during treatment.

 

Assistant Police Inspector Suhas Patil is investigating the matter further.
