Pune: Puneri Warriors, Bharati FC to clash for Third Division honours

Pune, 13th June 2022: Puneri Warriors and Bharati FC will face-off in the Third Division final of the PDFA League 2021-22 after winning their respective semifinal encounters.

At the SSPMS ground, Puneri Warriors scored a hard-fought 6-5 win in the tie breaker after sharing honours 2-2 at full time.

Puneri Warriors twice staged a comeback after Noisy Boys took the lead

first by Akshay Dagade (11th) and later by Ayuj Kute (41st). Piyush Kulkarni (35th) and Manish Deshmukh (44th) levelled terms for Puneri Warriors.

In the tie breaker, Prashant Kawade, Aniket Gupta, Vikas Gupta, Prasad Naik scored for Puneri Warriors, while Noisy Boys had Ayuj Kute, Akshay Dagade, Deepankur Shinde score.

Those missing for Noisy Boys were Om Patankar, Dinesh Rathod and Prathamesh Pillay missed, while Manish Deshmukh and Omkar Rasal missed their chances for Puneri Warriors.

In the second semifinal, Bharati FC edged out AFA Samford 5-4 after sharing a goal (1-1) each at the end of regulation time.

Shravan Khadse (36th) gave AFA Samford the lead, which they did well to hold onto until Amandep Singh (60+3rd) cancelled late in the day for Bharati FC.

In the ensuing tiebreaker, Amandep Singh, Siddharth Singh, Nagaisan Swer, Karan Yadav scored for Bharati FC, while Manvel Pillay, Elwin Francis, Shravan Khadse were successful with their attempts.

For AFA Samford Aman Madurai and Abhishek Chinna missed their respective attempts, while Bharati FC had Amartya Kush miss his try.
