Election Program Of Pune Cantonment Board Announced

Pune, 1st March 2023: Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) general elections were announced recently. Accordingly, voting will be held on 30th April. For this election, the nomination form can be filed with the Election Officers from 10.30 am to 4:00 pm on the 20th and 21st of March, informed PCB president Brigadier RR Kamat through a circular.

There are eight wards in PCB area out of which Ward one is assigned to the General, Ward two is reserved for Women, Ward three is for General, Ward four is reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC), Ward five and six reserved for women, as well as ward seven and eight fixed for general candidates.

Today, the announcement of the election program has been released. New voters will be able to register their names between 1st March to 3rd March. The list of the final voters will be released on 6th March. Also, the list of soldier voters will be updated and called from the concerned authorities. After that, their names will also be included.

The deadline for filing objections on the list of voters is 8th March. The hearing will be held on the 13th and 14th of March. On 17th March, the chairman of the board took a decision. The deadline to take any action has been given till 16th March. The final list will be released on 18th March. Also, acceptance of candidature applications is scheduled for 16th to 18th March from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm and 2.30 pm to 4.50 pm.

The list of eligible candidates will be published after 5 pm on 21st March. The application will be scrutinized on 23rd March from 10 am to 5 pm.

The time to withdraw the application has been given till 24th March. The voting process will held on 30th April and the counting of votes will be held on the next day ie 1st May.
