Pune: Fadnavis Accused Of Using Religion To Create Divide During Kasba By-Election Campaign, Complaint Filed Election Commission

Pune, 1st March 2023: Congress candidate Ravindra Dhangekar has complained to the Chief Election Commissioner that Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis violated the code of conduct during the by-election campaign in Kasba Assembly Constituency.

Fadnavis allegedly appealed to vote for Hindutva in his speech, which is a violation of the election code of conduct. He also mentioned Puneshwar temple and asked Congress and NCP to clarify their position regarding it. Dhangekar claimed that Fadnavis tried to create a divide in society by using religion in the election campaign.

Dhangekar has urged the Election Commission to take immediate action.
