Pune, 19th July 2022: Pune Railway Division has organized various programs during the week of 18th to 23rd of July under “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” at Pune and Satara Railway Stations. Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Renu Sharma inaugurated the photo exhibition related to freedom struggle fighters at Pune station and reviewed it.

Information on the freedom fighters and social reformers like Mahatma Jotiba Phule, Mahadev Govind Ranade, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Shivram Rajguru, Gopal Ganesh Agarkar, Durgabai Deshmukh, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Dadabhai Naoroji, Mahatma Gandhi, Dhondo Keshav Karve, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, Savitribai Jyotiba Phule, Yashwantrao Balwantrao Chavan, Chafekar brothers, Vitthal Ramji Shinde, Rani Laxmibai, Vasudev Balwant Phadke, Gopal Krishna Gokhale etc. is available at the exhibition. Along with this, the history of the freedom struggle and its related information is being given to people through the medium of video in a digital format.

On this occasion, dignitaries, Additional Divisional Rail Manager Prakash Upadhyay and many officials, employees and passengers were present. The exhibition has been organised with coordination and joint efforts between Senior Division Commercial Manager Dr. Milind Hirwe and Senior Mandal Personnel Officer Dr. Tushaba Shinde.

By seeing this exhibition at the station, people and passengers are getting interesting information about the freedom fighters of India, from which the new generation will definitely take the inspiration and work to maintain the unity, integrity and sovereignty of India. This exhibition is for everyone and will be open till Saturday, 23rd July.
