Fatal Accident in Hinjawadi: Truck Driver Arrested after Two-Wheeler Rider’s Tragic Death
Pune, 24th August 2023: A grim incident took place at Laxmi Chowk in Hinjawadi, leading to the death of a two-wheeler rider who was struck by a truck. The Hinjawadi police have taken prompt action, apprehending the truck driver responsible for the accident. The incident took place on Wednesday.
The arrested individual has been identified as Ranganath Rambhau Tambe, aged 45 and a resident of Bhiwandi. The complaint was lodged by Sanjay Madhav Vadje, a 28-year-old hailing from Akurdi, at the Hinjawadi police station. The victim of the accident has been identified as Ramdas Vadje, aged 27.
As per the police account, the accused was operating the truck at a high speed and collided with the two-wheeler ridden by the complainant’s brother from behind. The impact was severe, resulting in the critical injury of Vadje, who eventually succumbed to his injuries.
In the wake of the tragic event, the Hinjawadi police swiftly detained the accused truck driver. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing as authorities seek to establish a comprehensive understanding of the circumstances.
