The South-Eastern Railway General Manager, Anil Kumar Mishra, has taken immediate action by suspending all seven employees, including the three accused who are currently in remand. The suspensions were enforced due to the employees’ alleged dereliction of duty, as they failed to exhibit the necessary alertness during their assigned hours.
Addressing the media, General Manager Anil Kumar Mishra stated, “The CBI has apprehended three staff members thus far. Presently, a total of seven individuals, including the station master, traffic inspector, and maintainer, have been suspended for their lack of vigilance during duty hours. Had they been more attentive, this tragic train mishap could have been averted.”
