Fetal Therapy Conference held in Pune
Pune 15 October 2023 : Society of Fetal Medicine and Umarji Mother and Child Care Hospitals in association with IMA Talegoan Dabhade organised a scientific conference ‘ U Care for Fetus 2023 ‘ recently . The conference included various scientific presentations ,keynote presentations and panel discussions on topics with National and International faculties.
The conference was inaugurated in the presence of Maternal Fetal Medicine expert from Colombia Prof.Mauricio Herrera, Dr.Mukta Umarji , Director Umarji Hospitals,
Prof.Mandeep Singh. Director, Kypros Nicolaides Fetal Medicine & Therapy Center, Dr.Ashok Khurana, Mentor Emeritus of Society of Fetal Medicine, Dr. Aparna Sharma National Executive Secretary of the Society of Fetal Medicine , Dr.Santosh Sabnis, President SFM Greater Pune, Dr. Nilesh Narkhede President IMA Talegoan Dabhade and Dr.Chinmay Umarji Convenor of the conference along with other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Highlight of the conference was Living legend Prof. Aparna Shrotri oration by Prof. Herrera. He elaborated on the guidance on Fetal surgeries.
Prof. Mauricio Herrera hailed the mindset of India having an open mind to adopt new things and technologies.
Dr.Ashok Khurana said that there is life in every fertilised ovum and industry-society partnerships should come along to give quality of life and safety to these unborn babies. The entire effort is to make sure we have healthy pregnancies .
Dr.Chinmay Umarji gave an overview of the deliberations during the two days. He said that through the initiatives of Umarji hospitals, this advanced fetal surgery is now available in India and people can benefit from the same.
The experts opined that fetal medicine is an evolving branch of science and will help optimize outcomes and help in healthy pregnancy. The first day of the conference saw a unique scientific workshop imparted skills using mane queens to make understand human tissues and how they behave with interventions.
