Fish Prices Soar in Pune Due to Limited Supply; Egg Prices Also Rise

Pune, 3rd March 2025: Due to limited supply in the Pune market, the demand for fish remains high, keeping prices elevated. The price of regular eggs has increased by ₹20 per hundred, while the prices of chicken, mutton, and Gavran eggs have remained stable compared to the previous week.

On Sunday (March 2), the fish market in Ganesh Peth received 10 to 15 tonnes of deep-sea fish, 200 to 300 kg of bay fish, and 500 to 700 kg of river fish. Additionally, 15 to 20 tonnes of Rahu, Katla, and Silan were transported from Andhra Pradesh, according to traders in the fish market.
