Five Lakh Rupees assistance to families of dead persons in Malad wall collapse

Mumbai, July 2, 2019  : The Chief Minister today stated that the families of the victims in the Malad mishap will be provided assistance of Rs five lakhs and the injured also will be provided assistance. The families of the victims will be rehabilitated and inquiry in to the incident has been ordered .

The Chief Minister Devendra  Fadnavis was talking to media persons today after visiting the Shatabdi Hospital at Malad and called on the injured in the Malad Mishap. The Minster of State for Urban Development Yogesh Sagar was also present.

The Chief Minister Fadnavis further stated that the entire disaster management machinery in Mumbai has swung into full action in response to the very heavy down pour of rains in Mumbai and the State Government and the Mumbai Municipal Corporation are working in complete coordination with each other.  Directions will be issued to extend assisatnce to the families of the bereaved persons from the Municipal Corporation .

The Chief Minister stated that four hundred fifty millimetres of rain has down poured in Mumbai in a single day. It is still raining. This very excessive down pour has created a serious situation . The families of the victims in the Malad mishap will be provided assistance of Rs five lakhs and the injured also will be provided assistance. The families of the victims will be rehabilitated and inquiry in to the incident has been ordered in the matter. An alert watch is being kept on the situation in Mumbai and efforts will be made to ensure that assistance and rescue  teams reach wherever necessary .
