Football: Yashika to lead junior Pune eves; PDFA announce 18-member squad for junior inter district tournament
Pune, 8th December 2024: Medio Yashika Tejwani will lead Pune at the Western India Football Association (WIFA) Inter District Football Championship Junior Girls scheduled at Jalgaon from Sunday 8 to 12 December2024.
Meanwhile, midfielder Ishani Kulkarni has been named as the vice-captain of the team.
The 18-member squad was announced by Poona District Football Association (PDFA) Honorary Secretary Pradeep Pardeshi after the conclusion of a 15-day trial which concluded on Friday.
Pune open their campaign against the winner of Sangli-Latur on Monday 9th December 2024.
Meanwhile, Kailash Pardeshi has been named as the head coach for the team, while Chitra Gadhire has been named the manager.
A total of 24 districts from Maharashtra will be seen in action during the knockout tournament.
