Pune, 8th April 2025: Former Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav formally entered politics today by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Announcing his decision on Instagram, Jadhav expressed his admiration for the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and pledged to serve the people of Maharashtra with dedication.

Jadhav joined the party in the presence of several senior BJP leaders, including Maharashtra BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, State Working President Ravindra Chavan, former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, MLA Samadhan Autade, and MLA Dr. Atul Bhosale.

In his Instagram post, Jadhav wrote, “I have been deeply inspired by the leadership and work of the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. I sincerely thank him for welcoming me into the Bharatiya Janata Party family.”

He also expressed gratitude towards Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President J.P. Nadda, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for their encouragement and support.

Jadhav added that he drew inspiration for this new chapter from several prominent BJP leaders, including Chhatrapati Udayanraje Bhosale, Minister Chandrakant Patil, Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol, Minister Atul Save, and MLA Rahul Kul.

“I will do my utmost to live up to the trust placed in me by the Bharatiya Janata Party and the people of Maharashtra,” Jadhav stated, concluding his message with a call for continued support.
