Four-Wheeler And Rickshaw Collided At Sortapwadi On Pune-Solapur Highway, One Dead And Five Injured
Uruli Kanchan, 12th March 2023: One person was killed on the spot while five others were injured in a collision when an unknown four-wheeler hit a rickshaw from back in Sortapwadi, taluka Haveli, Gram Panchayat limits, on the Pune-Solapur highway. The incident took place in the Sortapwadi Phata area around 11.45 am.
According to the information received, a rickshaw started from Hadapsar was going towards Uruli Kanchan on the Pune-Solapur highway. Around 11.45 am, when the rickshaw was going from Sortapwadi towards Uruli Kanchan, suddenly a four-wheeler hit the rickshaw from behind. The passengers in the rickshaw were seriously injured in the collision.
Meanwhile, on getting information about the incident, the ambulances of Kasturi Organization and Life Care of Uruli Kanchan reached the spot. The injured are being treated at Siddhivinayak Hospital in Uruli Kanchan. Doctors said that one of them died before treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Bhanudas Gore (Age approx 50), a resident of Theur, taluka Haveli, and a native of Latur. While Sunita Jagtap and Indu Jagtap, both residents of Belsar, taluka Purandar have been seriously injured while Vishnu Rajaram Andhare and Chhaya Andhare, both residents of Sortapwadi, taluka Haveli, suffered minor injuries.
