9th November 2023: Kia Motors has unveiled the interior details of the fourth generation Kia Carnival, following the showcase of its exterior. This new iteration promises significant updates, including advanced features and impressive engine options. Set to launch in the Indian market next year, the revamped Kia Carnival offers a heightened sense of luxury and an array of five-star features compared to its current counterpart. It will be available in business class 4-seater, as well as 7-seater and 9-seater configurations. Notably, the standout feature in the cabin is the connected touch screen, and the color scheme encompasses both white and gray options. Unlike traditional buttons, the cabin employs a touch panel for added convenience.

In terms of features, the fourth generation Kia Carnival boasts a 12.3-inch touch screen infotainment system alongside a matching 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Additional highlights include a 4-zone climate control system and a remarkable 14.6-inch rear entertainment screen. The vehicle also incorporates a dual sunroof, height-adjustable driver seat with memory function, and an air purifier. The business class variant offers a sizable 21.5-inch monitor screen at the rear, seamlessly integrated into the roof and foldable when not in use. Moreover, the Business Class version’s rear seats are designed for exceptional comfort and feature a Dynamic Body Care function. Safety-wise, the new Kia Carnival is equipped with cutting-edge ADAS technology, featuring eight airbags, electronic stability control, and various monitoring systems such as tire pressure and 360-degree camera.

Under the hood, the fourth generation Carnival offers three engine options. However, for the Indian market, it will be available with a 2.2-liter diesel engine producing a maximum power of 200 bhp. This engine is coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission that delivers power exclusively to the front wheels. While an exact pricing scheme has yet to be disclosed, the new generation Kia Carnival is anticipated to have a starting price of around Rs 40 lakh ex-showroom. As for its introduction in India, it is expected to hit the market by mid-2024 or possibly in late 2024, with an international release following in due course. It’s worth noting that the Kia Carnival doesn’t directly compete with any vehicle in the Indian market, though it shares a segment with the Toyota Innova Highcross.
