Junnar, 5th June 2025: The results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025, the gateway to India’s premier engineering institutes, were officially declared today. While Rajit Gupta from Kota topped the examination by securing All India Rank (AIR) 1, a heartwarming success story has emerged from Junnar in Pune district, where Mohammad Ayub, the son of a home guard, has secured an impressive AIR 32 (category rank).

This remarkable achievement has made Ayub the first student from Junnar taluka to reach such heights in the JEE Advanced exam, and his story is winning hearts across Maharashtra.

Humble Beginnings, Extraordinary Ambitions-
Ayub hails from Sayyad Wada in Junnar taluka. His father, Murad Abbas, works as a home guard and also takes up electrician jobs to support the family. Despite economic hardships, Abbas ensured his son’s education was never interrupted, demonstrating the power of determination and parental support.

Ayub completed his primary schooling up to Class 10 at Shankarrao Butte Patil Vidyalaya in Junnar and later pursued his 11th and 12th at Shiv Chhatrapati College. It was right after his Class 10 exams that he began preparing for the highly competitive JEE.

First Attempt, Big Success-
Appearing for JEE Advanced for the very first time, Ayub’s dedication and perseverance paid off with an impressive category rank — a dream result for many aspiring engineers. He attributes his success to not only his hard work but also the support of multiple individuals and organizations that helped him during his preparation phase.

“I have always been passionate about learning,” said Ayub. “Despite our financial difficulties, I was determined to crack JEE and get into an IIT. Many kind-hearted people and institutions came forward to support me. My father, who works tirelessly both as a home guard and an electrician, has always shouldered the responsibility of my education. Today, whatever I’ve achieved is because of him and my family. My dream is to study at IIT Bombay and make something big of my life.”

A Father’s Pride-
Speaking about his son’s success, Murad Abbas said, “Ayub’s result is a matter of immense pride for our entire family. We’ve come through a lot of struggle, and today all of it feels worth it. I will continue to do everything in my power to support his education so he can go even further.”

Ayub’s accomplishment has received widespread appreciation in Junnar and beyond. From teachers and community leaders to educationists and netizens, praise continues to pour in for the young student whose grit and ambition have become a source of inspiration for many.

As he prepares to take his next steps toward IIT Bombay, Ayub’s journey stands as a powerful reminder that with the right mix of passion, support, and perseverance, even the most modest backgrounds can produce extraordinary success.
