Not only does he possess a remarkable skill for constructing these miniature marvels, but he also possesses an innate passion for aviation photography, capturing the essence of flight in breathtaking images. With an impressive repertoire of over 100 meticulously crafted aero models, Ved shows no signs of slowing down in his pursuit of this captivating hobby.
During an exclusive interview with PunekarNews.in, Ved (23), a resident of Kothrud, revealed that his artistic prowess knows no bounds, as he has created models of varying sizes, ranging from a few centimeters to awe-inspiring masterpieces spanning a meter in length. What sets Ved apart is his unwavering dedication to exploring the vast possibilities of different materials. From cardboard to foam, and even a humble pen, Ved’s creativity knows no bounds.
“The diverse range of materials allowed me to experiment and discover the ideal medium for each unique model,” he explained with an enchanting twinkle in his eyes.
However, Ved encountered his fair share of challenges while pursuing his passion. The pen, although an intriguing choice, posed intricate hurdles when it came to capturing minute details. Unfazed by this setback, Ved transitioned to cardboard, hoping to achieve the desired flexibility for his grand designs. Yet, he soon realized that cardboard’s inherent rigidity presented its own set of obstacles. Determined to surmount these challenges, Ved eventually found solace in the versatile nature of foam materials, relishing the tactile experience of manipulating its soft and yielding texture.
The meticulous process of constructing each model demands an investment of 2-3 days, although the timeframe naturally varies depending on the size and complexity of the project. One of Ved’s standout creations, a magnificent meter-long foam model of the IndiGo Airbus A320neo, boasts an astonishing level of authenticity. Embellished with a Bluetooth feature, Ved can effortlessly control the model’s movements using his mobile phone. To further enhance the realism, he ingeniously incorporated realistic lights, breathing life into his miniature aircraft.
Ved’s journey commenced with his maiden creation, a splendid cardboard rendition of Jet Airways, which required an entire week to complete. Fast-forward to the present, and his most recent accomplishment—an intricately designed Air India model—came to life within a mere two days. As for his future aspirations, Ved harbors a dream of constructing a Flying RC Plane, an audacious endeavor that reflects his unwavering ambition and boundless imagination.
While these awe-inspiring models command a hefty price in the market, starting from Rs 2000 onwards, Ved’s passion for sharing his artistry with others leads him to keep his creations accessible to all. Remarkably, the price for Ved’s masterpieces rarely exceeds a modest Rs 400, making his artistic offerings a true testament to his genuine dedication.
