Fund Sanctioned For Wall Painting Activity In 405 Anganwadi In Pune District; Necessary Infrastructure In 4500 Anganwadi
Pune, 23rd July 2022: A fund of Rs one crore 29 lakh 500 has been approved for the wall painting initiative in 405 Anganwadi centres of Zilla Parishad (ZP). Apart from this, the Zilla Parishad will provide 32 types of necessary infrastructure facilities in each of the 4500 Anganwadi areas to improve the Anganwadi.
Anganwadi Empowerment Program is being implemented under the Women and Child Welfare Fund.
These Anganwadi are currently selected for the Talking Walls initiative. Also, a survey of the infrastructure to be created in Anganwadis was conducted. For that, the data collected was analysed.
Accordingly, in the last two years, a large amount of investment has been made by the administration to improve the Anganwadi.
“This year, the Zilla Parishad has given lists to the Gram Panchayats according to each Anganwadi. For that, permission has been given to spend funds from the 15th Finance Commission. Corporate companies and individual donors are also being encouraged to donate for the development of Anganwadis,” said CEO Ayush Prasad.
