Funds Will Be Provided For Water Supply In The Newly Merged Villages Into PMC : Minister Uday Samant

Pune 18th July 2023: Industry Minister of Maharashtra Uday Samant on Tuesday informed the state assembly in the ongoing session that the state government will provide adequate funds to ensure proper water supply to the newly merged villages in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). He replied to a question raised by Kasba constituency MLA Ravindra Dhangekar.

“Through a 3 km long pipeline from Nanded Kirkitwadi and Nandoshi villages, water will be brought to the Nanded well. The distribution system of water from the existing infrastructure will be used to provide water supply to these villages by adding bleach powder to the water” he said.

“The Pune Municipal Corporation has already initiated a process to prepare a detailed project report to provide water supply to 11 and 23 villages that were recently merged in the municipal corporation. Necessary funds will be made available for the implementation of this water supply project” he added.
