Padmavibhushan Dr. Mohan Dhariya alias Anna, always dreamt of a strong and prosperous
Bharat covered with greenery. He wanted the waste lands to be used again and
unemployed people to get work in there also everybody should live in a clean, green
environment with clean water-sources. He also wished that the deprived sections of the
society should get to taste the fruits of technology and science. To bring his dream into
reality, Vanrai was founded, which is entering into its 33 rd  year on this 10 th  July 2019.

Vanrai has distributed over 2 crore saplings to the farmers so far to bring the wastelands
into cultivation and thus helping to increase the green cover of the country. Vanrai also
built the movement of bunds for the water and soil conservation. Along with the water
management programs, Vanrai also organized events like family planning, ban on liquor,
ban on illegal tree-felling, illegal grazing and free of cost, community working. They have
established 13 training centers in the rural areas to provide latest scientific and
technological developments. Small scale saving-groups are providing employment to the
rural women. With the help of the villagers, clean, green, prosperous and sustainable
villages are created. The sustainable village development is no more a dream but a reality
now. Vanrai has successfully achieved this impossible achievement in various villages of
the west Maharashtra, Konkan and ,Marathwada region with the help of sustainable rural
development and brought the much needed ‘reverse migration.’

Vanrai’s programs are based on the needs of the local villagers and executed with their help
only. Vanrai foundation’s chairman,Ravindra Dhariya told in the press conference that
Punekars can experience and enjoy all these works on the occasion of the anniversary
events. Vanrai’s representatives were also present at the press conference.
