Gokul leader and Guardian Minister Satej Patil announced this at a press conference on Friday. This decision has brought relief to five lakh milk producers in the district. At the same time, the selling price in Pune and Mumbai has been increased by Rs two. Kolhapur district has been excluded from the sale price hike. The new rates will come into effect from Monday the 11th.

Patil said that this increase will put an additional burden of Rs 71 crore on Gokul every year. However, due to this increase in sales in Mumbai and Pune, Rs 69 crore will be deposited in Gokul’s coffers.

He hoped that the remaining gap of Rs two crore would be filled in the future. Gokul has promised to give extra Rs two to milk farmers during the election campaign. The last 40 to 45 days were spent surveying to meet this.

He also decided to cut the transportation costs. This will save Rs 10 to 20 crore a year. A policy on animal feed will also be decided soon.
