This aroused great curiosity among the residents of the area. The video of the trial went viral. Metro tried to keep it a secret, but it did not last long.

The trial also examined tracks, overhead cables, signals, viaducts, etc. The speed of the metro was kept at less than 20 kmph just to inspect the completed works while running the metro on the track. The metro route was inspected for more than an hour. Officials from five departments were present for the event, said Atul Gadgil, Project Director, Mahametro.

He added, “The entire trial went as expected. There are minor corrections. They will be completed soon. Emphasis will now be placed on completing the work of the stations.”
