Pune, 4th November 2024: Following the Diwali festival, gold prices have experienced a notable drop. Today, the price of gold has decreased by ₹400, with 24-carat gold priced around ₹80,300 and 22-carat gold at ₹73,600. Silver is also priced at ₹96,900 per kilogram.

– Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata:
– 24-carat: ₹80,390 per 10 grams
– 22-carat: ₹73,690 per 10 grams

– Patna, Ahmedabad:
– 24-carat: ₹80,440 per 10 grams
– 22-carat: ₹73,740 per 10 grams

Gold prices fluctuate based on various factors, including global market trends and currency exchange rates. Typically, an increase in international gold prices impacts the Indian market. Additionally, demand for gold usually rises during the festive season, further influencing prices.

Each gold carat carries a specific hallmark to denote purity: 24-carat (999), 23-carat (958), 22-carat (916), 21-carat (875), and 18-carat (750). Buyers are advised to check the hallmark, certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), to ensure the quality and purity of the gold purchased.
