Permission has been granted with certain terms and conditions to prevent the corona from being transmitted through the bus journey, transport minister Anil Parab.

According to the Physical (Social) Distance Rules, one passenger per seat will be allowed and thus one bus can accommodate 21 to 22 people. Therefore, if a group of 21-22 people is formed, the group should fill in the form along with the name of their group leader, names of all, full address, address where to go, Aadhar card number and submit it to Police Commissioner’s Office nodal officer (DCP) in urban areas and District Collector/ Tehsildar in rural areas.

The group leader can apply on website covid19.mhpolice.in Medical certificate of group people not required as their screening will be done before departure. If the group leader can’t apply online, he/she can visit the local police station and fill the form there. The details will be sent to Collector of the district where the group wants to go after the permission is received, the group will be informed about when and from where to board the ST bus.
People who want to travel alone can apply online (ST will release the link on May 11). However, first, you will need police permission (by applying on website covid19.mhpolice.in) when applying for ST bus online, you will be required to upload the permission letter.

It is mandatory for passengers to wear masks during this journey, to clean their hands with sanitizer while boarding the bus. The bus will be disinfected before and after the departure. The bus facilities are not available to the citizens residing in the containment zone. This service will be available until the lockdown ends. So don’t crowd into police stations, collector’s offices, bus stands or on the streets.

The nodal officers will have the authority to inspect the migration in the districts to which these people are going and to do the institutional or in-house isolation. This is a point-to-point bus service. In the middle of the journey, passengers will not get on or off. The buses will not stop at any hotel or restaurant. Therefore, you should bring food and water from home. Also, only sanitized toilets will be used.

Those from outside Maharashtra, there is relief for you also. The ST buses will drop you till Maharashtra border. Also, people coming from other state, they will be picked up from Maharashtra border and dropped in their home district.
