Govt Extended Validity Of  DL And RC Once Again Till 30 September 2021

New Delhi, 17 June 2021: The government has extended the validity of Vehicle documents like Driving License, RC and Permit once again till 30 September 2021.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said that it has informed the officials about another extension till end of September of validity of Fitness, Permit (all types), License, RC and other related documents. It consists of all these documents which validity have expired on 1 February 2021 or would expire by 30 September 2021.

This is the sixth time the Govt has extended the date of Vehicle documents’ validity. “States and Union Territories have been advised to follow this advisory so that citizens, transporters and other different organizations which are working in this difficult time should not be harassed and they don’t face difficulties,” the ministry’s advisory said.

The number of covid patients is continuously increasing in India even today. However, these numbers have now come down from 4 lakh to 70,000.

Yesterday, the transport department of the Delhi government has halved the driving license slot while for permanent Driving License; applicants to sit in driving tests on any the automatic track has been approved. The government has taken this decision citing the coronavirus risks and spread of viruses.
