Grand Kalash Shobha Yatra Marks Ram Navami Celebrations in Pune

Pune, 27th March 2026: A grand Kalash Shobha Yatra was organized in Pune on the occasion of Ram Navami by Mithila Samaj Sanstha, drawing large participation from devotees and members of the community. The religious procession reflected cultural traditions and devotional fervour associated with the festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ram.

The procession commenced from Wagheshwar Temple and concluded at Ram Mandir in Wagholi. Devotees participated in large numbers, with the route echoing with chants of “Jai Shri Ram,” devotional songs, and traditional music, creating a festive and spiritual atmosphere throughout the event.

A key highlight of the procession was the participation of women dressed in traditional pink sarees, carrying Kalash on their heads as part of the religious ritual. The procession moved through designated routes before concluding with prayers and religious rituals at the temple.

The event was coordinated by Paresh Thakur, Jatashankar Chaudhary, Rishi Jha, and Pawan Chaudhary under the guidance of Sangeeta Chaudhary. Several volunteers and members of the community assisted in organizing and managing the procession.

Women participants included Aparna, Nutan, Mamta, Preeti, Nidhi, Soni, Ruby, Diksha, Alka, Sushma, Sona, and Savita. Volunteers who contributed to the event arrangements included C.N. Jha, Sunil Thakur, Kripanshu, Pawan, Rocky, and Shivam.

The procession concluded at Ram Mandir with prayers and religious ceremonies as part of the Ram Navami celebrations.
