Gandhinagar, 11th September, 2021: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has resigned after meeting the Governor at Gandhinagar. He submitted his resignation to Governor Acharya Devvrat on Saturday.

Chief Minister Rupani said, “the upcoming 2022 elections will be fought under the leadership of Narendra Modi. My five year term has come to an end. New responsibilities are expected from the party in the coming period. At the same time, Gujarat will get a new face and leadership.”

“In the BJP, responsibility changes after a certain term is over. This is a natural reaction. That’s why I took over the responsibility for five years. I will do whatever the party wants me to do,” he said.
