Surat, July 13, 2020: Police constable Sunita Yadav found it expensive to perform her duty, as she had questioned a minister’s son. She has been accused of misbehaving with the minister’s son. After this, the Gujarat Police has set up an investigation in the case. The Gujarat Minister of State for Health, Kumar Kanani has made the allegations, so the investigation was sure to happen.

Minister of State for Health Kumar Kanani’s son, Prakash, and two of his friends — Dushyant Godhani and Sanjay Kakadia — allegedly had an altercation with woman police constable, Sunita Yadav, on the road during curfew hours on July 9 night. Yadav from Varachha police station was posted on a bandobast duty when the alleged incident happened around 10.35 pm near Mini Bazar in Varachha area.

The woman constable had stopped the two youths for roaming around during the curfew and not wearing masks. The duo called the minister’s son. After which the minister’s son reached the spot in his father’s car. The father’s name and the post of MLA were written on the car. But this woman constable stood on the spot, performing her duties without fear.

A video related to this incident is also going viral. In which the woman is questioning the son of the minister. Sunita Yadav asks him why he is moving around with the MLA’s car, even though there is no MLA in the car? He is heard saying that he will make sure that she is put on duty at same spot for 365 days. She lost her cool and told him sternly that, “I am not anybody’s slave.”

Later she was transferred from the police station to police headquarters. Now, the minister has alleged that the woman constable had abused his son. After which the police have set up an inquiry into the whole matter.

PL Chaudhary, PRO of Surat Police said that a video has come to the notice, we have received a complaint in this matter. We have set up an inquiry. Action will be taken against whoever is guilty.

It is being said that the women constable has submitted her resignation after getting fed up with the police system. On the other hand, the Police Commissioner of Surat Rajendra Brahmabhatt has handed over the investigation of the case to ACP CK Patel.
