CBSE class XII result declared: Here’s how you can check your results

Pune, July 13, 2020: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), on Monday, declared the results of class XII board examination. This year, the CBSE has recorded a pass percentage of 94.39.

Students will also be able to view their results on UMANG mobile app. The CBSE will also provide the academic documents like marksheets, migration certificates, pass certificates and skill certificates, through Digilocker facility at https://digilocker.gov.in

Result highlights

A total of 2,37,901 appeared for the examinations across the country, out of which 2,24,552 have passed. The pass percentage this year has increased by 5.38 percent than the pass percentage in 2019.

Just like every year, the number of girls passing the examination has aced the boys as well as transgender students. This year, 92.15 percent of girls have cleared the examination, as opposed to 86.19 percent boys and 66.67 percent of the transgender candidates.

Assessment

The CBSE Class XII Board examinations were scheduled to be conducted from February 15 till March 30, this year. Due to the spread of Coronavirus pandemic, the examinations scheduled from March 19 to 30 in 12 subjects along with examinations in 11 subjects for students of North-Eastern Delhi were postponed. The prevailing COVID-19 situation further forced the cancellation of the pending examinations.

As per a notification issued by the Board, for the students of both classes X and XII, who have completed all their examinations, their results will be declared based on their performance in the examinations. For students who have appeared in the examinations in more than three subjects, the average of the marks obtained in the best three performing subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose examinations have not been conducted. For those who have appeared in only three subjects, the assessment will be based on the best two performing subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose examinations have not been conducted.

CBSE will conduct an optional examination for the pending subjects as soon as conditions are conducive as decided by the Central Government.
