Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh), July 6, 2020: The Gwalior District administration in Madhya Pradesh issued an order today that if anybody was found violating safety guidelines for COVID-19 and not wearing masks in public places in Gwalior, they will have to volunteer at hospitals and police check posts for three days. Apart from this, fines would also be imposed for violating protocols.

This decision came after a meeting held yesterday by District Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh with other officials regarding the ‘Kill Corona’ campaign in Madhya Pradesh. The ‘Kill Corona’ campaign is an initiative by the administration to go door-to-door covering all areas to identify COVID-19 positive patients.

In the meeting, the Collector also said that people coming from Bhopal, Indore as well as other states should be screened strictly following all precautions and rules at the district borders. As of Sunday, the number of COVID-19 positive cases in Gwalior was 528.
