Mumbai, 29th April 2024: Today in Mumbai, a disruption occurred on the Panvel-CSMT Harbour Line when a train trolley derailed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Platform No. 2 around 11:35 AM. Thankfully, there were no injuries among the passengers.

Due to this incident, there have been significant disruptions on the Harbour Line, affecting services between Panvel and CSMT. Trains inbound towards CSMT are now terminating at Masjid station instead. However, Harbour Line services are still operational between Vadala and other stations. Efforts are underway to restore normal operations, with teams working diligently to clear the track and ensure safety.

Fortunately, the Main Line services remain unaffected and are running on schedule.

This disruption has caused frustration among commuters, particularly those reliant on the Harbour Line. Many have expressed their discontent on social media, with one user tweeting, “@Central_Railway continues its poor service on the first day of the week. Running late by 45 minutes & harbour line commuters walking on tracks,” highlighting the challenges faced during busy morning hours.
