Pune, 6th October 2025: With two wins under his belt in the last three starts this season, Harjai Milkha Singh, son of the legendary Jeev Milkha Singh, will look to keep his good run going when the IGU Western India Junior Boys Golf Championship gets underway at the Poona Club Golf Course here on Tuesday.

Winner at Coimbatore and Panchkula, Harjai, 15, will have to be on top of his game to lord over the field. For, the consistent Neil Jolly and Order of Merit leader Krish Chawla, who is still searching for a win this year, will look to write their own script this week.

It will be a good test of golf here as the narrow fairways and punishing roughs will put a premium on accuracy. The greens, although a trifle fast, are playing true.

Although the field consists of a host of promising youngsters, including Danish Verma, it is likely to be a three-way contest between Harjai, Chawla and Jolly. Coming into the event on the back of two wins, Harjai, who is known for his short-game heroics, may have a slender edge over the rest.

Competition will be held in three categories (15-17 years, 13-14 and 11-12).
