Heading to Pune Camp for Christmas? Here Are the Traffic Changes You Need to Know

Camp, 24th December 2024: On the occasion of Christmas, celebrated every year on 25th December, many people visit Pune Camp to celebrate. Due to the large number of visitors, traffic congestion and parking problems are inevitable. To manage this, the Pune City Police Commissionerate’s Traffic Branch has implemented temporary traffic changes.

The changes are as follows: on both today and tomorrow, the changes will be implemented at 7 PM and will remain in effect until the crowd disperses.

1) Vehicles coming from Y Junction towards Mahatma Gandhi Road (MG Road) will be closed at 15 August Chowk and diverted to Masjid Jamiatul Quraish and Sujata Mastani Chowk.

2) Vehicles travelling from ISKCON Pune Camp towards Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Statue and Aurora Towers will be closed, and traffic will be diverted via SBI House towards Tin Tofa Chowk, then straight to Lashkar Police Station and onward to the desired destination.

3) Vehicles will not be allowed from Volga Chowk to Mohammad Rafi Chowk. This traffic will be diverted from East Street towards Indira Gandhi Chowk.

4) Vehicles will not be allowed from Indira Gandhi Chowk to Mahavir Chowk. Motorists will be directed to go to Lashkar Police Station from Indira Gandhi Chowk and proceed to their desired destination.

5) Vehicles will not be allowed from Sarbatwala Chowk to Mahavir Chowk. These vehicles must proceed to their desired destination via Taboot Street.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Amol Zende, in charge of the Traffic Branch, has urged everyone to stay updated on these traffic changes and cooperate with the Traffic Police.
