Heavy Rain Causes Trees To Fall At 31 Locations In Pune
Pune, 9th April 2023: The city of Pune was hit by heavy rainfall on Sunday, resulting in trees falling at 31 different locations across the city. Thankfully, no injuries were reported from the incidents.
Fire brigade personnel immediately responded to the situation, clearing roads and removing fallen tree branches to allow traffic to resume its normal flow.
Reports indicate that the heavy rainfall began at approximately 4 pm and continued for several hours, causing trees to fall in different parts of the city. The fire brigade control room received 31 reports of tree falls until 8:30 pm, prompting personnel to carry out immediate relief work.
One incident of particular note occurred in Bhawani Peth, where a large hoarding collapsed. Fortunately, disaster was averted as fire brigade personnel quickly removed the advertisement board.
The fire brigade’s swift response to the situation prevented any major damage and ensured that citizens could continue to move safely throughout the city.
