Helicopter Carrying Passengers Crashes In Kedarnath, 7 Killed Including Pilot
Rudraprayag, 18th October 2022: A major accident occurred due to a helicopter crash in Kedarnath. 7 people died in this accident. It is being said that this accident took place in Garudachatti, 2 km from Kedarnath. There were many tourists in the helicopter of a private company when this helicopter crashed. All 7 people including the pilot died in the accident.
This accident took place during the flight from Guptkashi to Kedarnath. It is feared that this accident must have happened while moving from Guptkashi toward Kedar Valley. Relief and rescue operations are going on. After two days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to visit Kedarnath and Badrinath. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed regret over the incident. He said that very sad news has been received of many casualties in the unfortunate helicopter crash at Garudchatti near Kedarnath. The team of SDRF and district administration has reached there for relief and rescue work. Detailed information about this incident has been ordered.
Along with the police, the SDRF team has reached the spot. The Civil and Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has also expressed grief over this accident by tweeting.
The Union Minister tweeted, ‘’It is unfortunate that the helicopter crashed in Kedarnath. We are in touch with the state government and are assessing the damage in the accident. We are constantly monitoring the situation.’’ According to the information that has come out about the dead, three people are said to be residents of Gujarat. Efforts are on to identify the other dead.
What caused the helicopter crash?
Investigations are on the way to find out whether this accident happened due to bad weather or due to some technical fault in the helicopter. High flames of fire had been seen and the helicopter was destroyed in this accident. The wreckage of the helicopter is also visible in the videos that have come out regarding the helicopter crash.
