Hockey: New Millenium play three drawn encounters, St. Vincent’s log win in Boys Under-14 section

Pune, 14th February 2026: The New Millenium English Medium School had a day of drawn encounters, while St. Vincent’s H.S had a win and a draw in the in the Fr. Schoch Memorial 2026 Inter School Hockey tournament powered by Bharat Forge Kalyani Group at the Major Dhyanchand Hockey Stadium, Nehrunagar-Pimpri, here on Saturday.

The tournament is being held under the aegis of Hockey Maharashtra and organized by ELAN (Ex Loyola Alumni Network) along with Loyola High School for the sixth year in succession.

The New Millennium drew three encounters, two in the Boys, Under-14 section and one in the Boys, Under-12 section on a day of drawn encounters. In the Boys, Under 14 section, The New Millenium English Medium and MCES played out a 1-1 draw. MCES went ahead when Faiz Khan (2’) scored and later Shibham Bhosale (13’) levelled for The New Millenium English.

Later, St. Vincent’s and The New Millenium English played out a 0-0 draw in the same Boys Under-14 section.

The third draw came in the Boys Under-12, when St. Patrick’s drew with The New Millenium 0-0.

St. Vincent’s had a win recorded in the Boy’s Under-14 match, downing MCES 1-0 after Pranav Gandle (37’) scored the winner.

Later, in the same Boys, Under-14 section. Sant Tukaram H.S held onto Rutik Tadewadi (5’) goal to get past Modern H.S 1-0. Similarly, S.K Gurukul and Sant Tukaram H.S played out a 1-1 draw after Rutvik Tadewadi (34’) opened the scoring for Santh Tukaram, while Priyvardhan Patil (44’) equalised for G.K Gurukul.

In the last match, in the Boys Under-14 category, St. Patrick’s HS and Col. Bhagat H.S played out a 0-0 draw.
