Hockey: Sant Tukaram remain undefeated, Down St. Annes in Under-14 and U-17 sections
Pune, 16th February 2026: Sant Tukaram was the toast of the day winning three matches in the Fr. Schoch Memorial 2026 Inter School Hockey tournament powered by Bharat Forge Kalyani Group at the Major Dhyanchand Hockey Stadium, Nehrunagar-Pimpri, here on Monday.
The tournament is being held under the aegis of Hockey Maharashtra and organized by ELAN (Ex Loyola Alumni Network) along with Loyola High School for the sixth year in succession.
In the Girls Under-14 section, Sant Tukaram downed St. Annes 2-0 with Pradnya Ghaywat (8’, 27’) scoring both goals and later downed New Millenium English 1-0 after Swaranjali Mane (12’) scored.
Their third win came in the Girls Under-17s section when Sant Tukaram got the better of St. Annes 3-2. Utkarsha Mandukar (27’, 57’) and Vaishnavi Sutar (29’) netted for Sant Tukaram, while (Siddhi Aundhekar (42’) and Nayan Surve (50’) scored for St Annes.
Meanwhile, St Annes was next best on the day with two losses (0-2 to Sant Tukaram in Girls, Under-14 and 2-3 to Sant Tukaram in the Girls, Under-17 section), one win (beat New Millenium English 1-0, Girls, Under-17 after Swaranjali Mane (12’) scored and had one draw (0-0 with New Millenium English in the Girls, Under-14) during the day
The other winners of the day were St. Patricks who won both their matches in the Girls Under-14 Section. They pipped Anglo Urdu HS 1-0 after Rutuja Desai (59’) netted and later they posted a 2-0 win over St. Josephs, Pashan after Rutuja Desai (45’) and Swaranjali Shedge (47’) scored.
In other matches, The New Millennium English Medium won 6-0 against Muktai Memorial in the Girls Under-14 section. Mitali Fegade (17’, 54’), Nidhi Kandare (22’), Apeksha Darane (48’, 49’) and Preksha Chotaliya (52’) netted for the winners.
In the last match, Anglo Urdu HS got past St. Josephs, Pashan 1-0 after Muniza Shaikh (50’) scored.
