Hockey: St. Vincent’s, SAKEM enter Under-14 Boys final
Pune, 20th February 2026: Shree Anantrao Kulkarni English Medium School, (SAKEMS), Nagayangaon and St. Vincent’s H.S will play for the Under-14 Boy’s crown in the Fr. Schoch Memorial 2026 Inter School Hockey tournament, powered by Bharat Forge Kalyani Group, at the Major Dhyanchand Hockey Stadium, Nehrunagar-Pimpri, here on Saturday.
The tournament is being held under the aegis of Hockey Maharashtra and organized by ELAN (Ex Loyola Alumni Network) along with Loyola High School for the sixth year in succession.
In the Under-14 Boys semi-finals played on Friday, SAKEM, Narayangaon overcame hosts Loyola, H.S 2-0 with goals from Ved Gaikwad (2’) and Shlok Sahane (43’) settling the issue.
Later, St Vincent’s H.S got the better of S.K Gurukul via the shoot-out after both teams played out a 0-0 in regulation time. For St. Vincent’s Aaren Selva, Zohan Singh were successful in the shoot-out, Abhiraj Shelar gained success for G.K Gurukul.
In the Under-12 Boys section, Loyola H.S and St.Vincent’s set up a date for the final, on Sunday.
Loyola downed Muktai Memorial School 2-0. With both the goals scored through the brace of goals scored by Rajveer Shinde (24’, 14’).
Later in the second semifinal, St. Vincent’s pit aside Ornellas 2-0. A goal each by Rajveer Admane (28’) and Kawailya Kamble (42’) settled the issue.
In the Under-14 Girls category. Sant Tukaram will play GRP, Narayangaon in the final after both winning teams scored contrasting wins.
Sant Tukaram got the better of St. Patrick’s 2-1 with Pradnya Ghaywat (33’) and Sandhya Shinde (58’) scoring for Sant Tukaram, while St. Patrick’s H.S had Rutuja Desai (44’) reduce the margin.
In the second semifinal. GRPS, Narayangaon scored a runaway 5-1 win over New Millennium English Medium. A brace each by Sanskiti Kolhe (14’, 40’) and Arnavi Padgum (27’, 59’) and Parnavi Kharge (44’) netting the fifth accounted the tally for the winners. Mithali Fargade (41’) reduced the margin for New Millenium English.
