Honour Killing In Pune: Two Youth Beaten To Death, Six Accused Including Girl’s Father Arrested

Chakan, 17th July 2021: In a shocking double murder case in Chakan, a young man and his friend was beaten to death over a love affair. Reportedly, the two died due to injuries.

The deceased have been identified as Balu Sitaram Gawde and Rahul Dattatraya Gawde. Balu was working on a brick kiln. The daughter of the owner of this brick kiln ran away on the 14th of July with Balu with the help of Rahul. After this, the owner of the brick kiln searched for them, with the help of his colleagues.

When the deceased was found on Thursday, the owner with the help of his accomplices beat them to death. The accused beat the two to death with wooden sticks and iron rods. Both died of their injuries. The girl who fled with Balu has also been beaten and injured. “Balu is married and his wife is also involved in the double murder case,” said Chakan police.

Pimpri-Chinchwad police have arrested six people, including the girl’s father, after the incident and are investigating the matter. Police are also investigating how exactly the incident took place.
