Pune: Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar Reviews The Status Of Covid Outbreak In Pune District

Pune, July 17 2021: Considering the possibility of a third wave of Covid, health facilities are being enhanced and the government is taking utmost care of the health of the citizens. Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar appealed to the citizens to strictly abide by the restrictions and not to crowd in public places and tourist places.
A review meeting on Covid situation and measures in the district was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in the hall of Pune Vidhan Bhavan. Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil, Minister of State for General Administration Dattatraya Bharane, ZP President Nirmalatai Pansare, MP Supriyatai Sule, MP Girish Bapat, MP Ang Vandana Chavan, Pimpri Chinchwad Mayor Mai Dhore, MLA Adv. Ashok Pawar, MLA Sangram Thopte, MLA Sharad Ranapise, MLA Sunil Kamble, MLA Sunil Shelke, MLA Sanjay Jagtap, MLA Atul Benke, MLA Dilip Mohite, MLA Sunil Tingre, MLA Chetan Tupe, MLA Siddharth Shirole, as well as Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, Pune Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil, PMRDA Chief Executive Officer Suhas Divase, Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh, Commissioner of Police Krishna Prakash, District Superintendent of Police Dr Abhinav Deshmukh, Z.P. Chief Executive Officer AYUSH Prasad, Retired Director-General of Health Dr Subhash Salunkhe and other dignitaries and senior officers of various departments were present.
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said, “considering the possibility of the third wave of Covid, health facilities are being enhanced and the government is taking care of the health of the citizens. Citizens should also recognize their responsibilities and strictly abide by the restrictions. Although the Covid patient growth rate in the district is currently stable, this week’s restrictions will remain in place next week too. Citizens who have taken both doses of the vaccine must also follow the rules.”
Stating that the state government is making important decisions in terms of the health of the citizens, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said, “some industries have started following the rules. Industrialists have also taken responsibility for vaccinating their workers. Vaccination is on the rise in the district and there is not enough supply of vaccines. Yet more and more vaccines are being made available. Considering the number of patients in the district, the emphasis should be on institutional isolation instead of home isolation. “
Along with MP Girish Bapat, MLA Sangram Thopte and MLA Siddharth Shirole also made some suggestions. Dr Subhash Salunke said that it is necessary to pay attention to institutional isolation, testing, vaccination of super spreaders.
Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao gave a presentation on the Covid patient rate in the district this week as compared to the previous week, measures being implemented by the administration in the district, sample testing of citizens, infected patients, hospital management, vaccination status, patient myocardial infarction rate, mortality rate, oxygen plant status.
Pune Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil informed about the measures being taken by the Municipal Corporation.
District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh and ZP Chief Executive Officer Ayush Prasad gave information about the condition of Covid patients in rural areas and measures. The meeting was attended by chief officers of various agencies.
