Online Registration For 11th Std CET To Start From 19th July

Pune, 17th July 2021: As per the decision of the state government, the Common Entrance Test (CET) will be conducted for the 11th STD admission after the State Board announced the result of the 10th through internal evaluation. The exam will be conducted offline through OMR answer sheets and students from all boards will be able to register online from July 19th.

State education Board President Dinkar Patil informed that the admission process for the eleventh std takes place every year based on 10th marks. The admission process is carried out centrally in seven municipal areas in the state. The state government has decided to take CET for admission this year. The responsibility of organizing the CET has been entrusted to the State Board. Against this background, the process for CET will now be initiated by the State Board. The CET is expected to take place in the third week of August.

Registration for the 11th CET in the state has to be done online. It is planned to start the registration process from July 19. State Board students will not be charged separately for this examination. Also, all they have to do is go to the spot and explain whether they want to take the exam or not. Students of other boards will have to fill in their details and marks and will have to pay an examination fee of Rs 170 online, said Patil.

According to the State Education Department, there are about 18.5 lakh seats in the state, including the central admission process and direct admission. This year 15.75 lakh students of the State Board have passed. The results of CBSE, ICESE and other boards are also likely to increase due to internal evaluation. The Education Department has clarified that preference will be given to students appearing for the CET. There will be no problem in getting admission as there are vacancies even after admitting students from all the boards like State Board, CBSE, ICESE. However, the balance of branch-wise access is likely to be disturbed, also there is some scepticism about getting admission to the desired college or branch.
