Housing Societies Of Pune Still In Name Of Builders; 13,464 Societies Have Pending Deemed Conveyance
Pune, 21st September 2022: Pune city consists of 19,029 registered cooperative housing societies. Out of those, 2,125 do not require deemed conveyance. Only 3,641 proposals for deemed conveyance have been received, out of which 3,440 proposals have been processed and the remaining 201 cases are under hearing.
Therefore, it is clear that 13,464 societies in Pune still have to be handed over. This matter was discussed in the meeting of the district-level committee formed to solve the problems related to the transfer case organized in the collector’s office.
The Registration Department registered 1,826 Deeds Conveyance. The developer has transferred 1,457 institutions.
Narayan Aghav, District Deputy Registrar of Pune City, said, “The Cooperative Department is trying to complete the process of transfer of pending institutions. The housing societies should apply for transfer in the prescribed form along with the necessary documents to the office of the concerned district deputy registrar, cooperatives and competent authorities.”
The number of documents required for the transfer of property has reduced and the process will speed up if the flat holders provide the necessary documents to the organization.
Resident Deputy Collector Sanjay Teli said that instructions are being given to the competent authorities to record the names of individual flat owners who have apartment deeds on the property sheet.
The Cooperative Department is taking action regarding the conveyance of the deed in connection with the new housing projects. In the case of old housing societies, the cooperative department needs to make efforts to speed up this process.
Telu added, “Housing organisations should be given information about Deeds Conveyance. This process is an important matter for cooperative housing societies and housing societies should follow up on deeds conveyance and settle such proposals immediately.”
