How A ‘Cute’ Challenge On Facebook Can Prove Dangerous

Pune, September 24, 2020: The #couplechallenge has resurfaced on Facebook. It is trending again and people are happily posting pictures with their loved ones on social media platforms.

Many people follow recent trends and post things on social media without giving it a second thought. Though social media provides space for expressing thoughts and emotions, it might prove dangerous and can cause grave harm to a person’s life.

With various kinds of cybercrimes on the rise, Pune City Police has posted a message on their Facebook wall to beware and think twice before posting anything on social media.

They have said that the couple challenge is again trending on social media and have urged people to be aware as any kind of pictures posted online can be used for cybercrimes like- image distortion, morphing, pornography, revenge etc.

“Think twice before you post a picture with your partner. A ‘cute’ challenge can go wrong if not cautious! #BeAware”, is the advice Pune City Police is giving to the citizens.
