According to the Hurun Global Rich List released on Tuesday, Mukesh Ambani remains the richest person in India with assets of $ 83 billion. According to the report, Ambani, the head of Reliance Industries, has become the eighth richest person in the world with an increase of 24 percent in his wealth.

The wealth of Gautam Adani of Gujarat has increased dramatically over the years. In the year 2020, Adani’s assets almost doubled to $ 32 billion. With this, he has risen by 20 places to become the 48th richest person in the world. With this, Adani has become the second richest person in India. The wealth of his brother Vinod Adani also increased by 128 percent to $ 9.8 billion.

According to the report, Shiv Nadar of IT Company HCL is the third richest person in India with assets of $ 27 billion. The wealth of many tech industry giants has increased exponentially over the past year.

Last year, Jay Chaudhary of software company Zscaler increased assets by 274 percent to $ 13 billion. The wealth of Byju Ravindran and his family also increased by 100 percent to $ 2.8 billion. According to the report, the wealth of Anand Mahindra, the head of the diversified corporate houses Mahindra Group and his family also grew by 100 percent to $ 2.4 billion.

One of the people whose wealth declined in the year 2020 is Acharya Balakrishna of Patanjali Ayurveda. Acharya Balakrishna’s wealth has fallen by 32 percent last year, bringing it down to $ 3.6 billion. The report said that out of 177 Indian billionaires, 60 are from the country’s financial capital Mumbai. It is followed by 40 billionaires from New Delhi and 22 from Bengaluru.

Topping the Hurun Global Rich List 2021 has been Tesla owner Elon Musk. His wealth rose 328 percent to $ 197 billion in one year. In just one year, Musk’s wealth has increased by $ 151 billion. There are three people on Hurun’s list who have increased their wealth by $ 50 billion in just one year. These include Jeff Bezos of Amazon and Colin Huang of Pinduoduo in addition to Elon Musk.
