Mumbai, 06 April 2024: Hyundai Motors, the renowned South Korean automaker, is set to introduce three new SUV models in the Indian market in 2024. Among these launches, one standout offering will be the electric version of the popular mid-size SUV, the Hyundai Creta.

The company’s Indian unit is gearing up for these significant additions to its lineup, each catering to different segments of the SUV market. The upcoming releases include a facelift version of the Hyundai Alcazar, a seven-seater SUV that is expected to undergo design changes similar to the recently revamped Hyundai Creta. This refreshed model will come equipped with new features and an enhanced diesel engine, promising an improved driving experience for consumers.

The unveiling of the Alcazar facelift is anticipated during the festive season, with potential inclusion of Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for enhanced safety. Furthermore, Hyundai is preparing to introduce a mid-cycle revision of its premium SUV, the Tucson. This updated version is likely to feature a redesigned front grille, new lighting patterns, updated skid plates, alloy wheels, and various other enhancements. Inside the vehicle, customers can expect upgrades such as a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, and a digital instrument cluster of the same size, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. Notably, the highlight of Hyundai’s upcoming SUV lineup is the electric variant of the Hyundai Creta. The company has been actively testing this electric model in both South Korea and India, with expectations of an imminent launch in the Indian market later this year.

The production version of the electric Creta is projected to offer a battery capacity ranging from 55 to 60 kWh, providing an impressive driving range of approximately 500 kilometers on a single charge. This eco-friendly SUV will directly compete with electric vehicles like the Maruti EVX and MG ZS EV in the country. With these strategic introductions, Hyundai aims to cater to a diverse range of consumers in India’s competitive SUV market. The company’s focus on innovation and sustainability is evident through its foray into electric mobility with the upcoming electric Creta model, aligning with the global shift towards cleaner and greener transportation solutions.

Hyundai’s forthcoming SUV lineup promises exciting options for Indian customers, blending cutting-edge technology, enhanced features, and eco-friendly alternatives to meet evolving consumer preferences in the automotive industry.
