30th November 2023: Hyundai is consistently refreshing its SUV lineup, responding to the growing demand for larger SUVs in India. The upcoming Hyundai Santa Fe is set to directly rival popular models like the Toyota Fortuner and MG Gloster. Anticipated to launch internationally this year, its introduction in the Indian market is projected for late 2024 or early 2025. The new design emphasizes a distinctive look, featuring a long wheelbase supporting three rows, sharp lines, and bold aesthetics.

The Hyundai Santa Fe boasts an eye-catching exterior with new head and tail lights, a prominent H-pattern LED strip at the front, hexagonal wheel arches, and striking body features. Inside, the cabin offers a luxurious experience with multiple themes, plush leather seat upholstery, and a redesigned central console. Technological upgrades include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, triple-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and a 360-degree camera.

While safety features are yet to be officially disclosed, expectations are high for robust safety offerings, potentially incorporating Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology. The Santa Fe’s powertrain options vary globally, with North America and Korea offering a 2.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine (280 bhp) and a 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid engine (180 bhp). European markets receive additional choices, including a 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid and plug-in hybrid options.

Although confirmation is lacking regarding its Indian debut, speculation suggests a potential launch in 2024. If introduced, the Hyundai Santa Fe is estimated to be competitively priced, ranging between Rs 45 lakh to Rs 55 lakh or possibly higher. Once in the Indian market, it will enter into competition with established SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian, and Skoda Kodiaq.
